I am Liz Murray, a proof reader & editor.

I have a Post-Graduate Certificate in Editing from Whitireia, Wellington, NZ and a Bacherlor’s Degree from Otago University.

Since graduating, I have been:
*Proofreading master’s theses for students
* Editing family histories
* Editing or creating curriculum vitae and job application letters
* Tutoring ESOL

When I’m not proofreading or editing I’m creating things like graphics, enjoying a bush walk or reading.

SERVICES I OFFER

• Correcting grammar, punctuation, spelling, typography
• Checking clarity, facts and queries
• Track Changes (Word) or hand-written notation
• Checking citations and references, which must be correctly formatted already, according to your institute’s written guidelines.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:
You will need to email your document first, so I can see if it fits into my criteria of light to medium 

Fee: $36 per 1000 words, with a discounted price for students of $26 per 1000 words.

COPY EDITING

• Correcting grammar, spelling and punctuation.
• Checking for the right level or formality and language
• Applying a consistent style of spelling, hypenation, etc.

CONTENT EDITING

• Checking for factual accuracy and consistency
• Ensuring the text is free from discriminatory, or defamatory material or libel.

SUBSTANTIVE/STRUCTURAL EDITING

• • Checking the test is logical in structure.
  • Ensuring there are no missing or inadequately treated topics.
